Here is a FCI vignette. This short video will explain how Federal Contract Information can affect your organization.
Meet Ray. He’s the owner of the Sod Father Landscaping company. One day, he decides he is going to pursue a federal contract to provide landscaping services at his local military installation.
Ray responds to a request for proposal on SAM.GOV and places his bid on a contract.
A few weeks later, Ray is informed he has won the contract. The contracting officer emails Ray the Federal Contract Information.
Because Ray now has Federal Contract Information in his possession, he will need to meet the CMMC Maturity Level 1 requirements.
