The AFCEA Atlanta Chapter presents the next Homeland Security Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to a technical program of unsurpassed scope and quality, AFCEA provides the central meeting place for government, academia, and industry working in all disciplines in industry, service, government, military and academic sectors.

Today’s infrastructure is connected to many other infrastructure assets, systems, and networks for normal day-to-day operations. These connections may be geographically limited or dispersed over great distances. The many points of infrastructure connections and their geographic distribution can make the infrastructure environment much more complex.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) works to strengthen critical infrastructure security and resilience by generating greater understanding and action across a partnership landscape. This is achieved by working with private and public infrastructure stakeholders to resolve infrastructure security and resilience knowledge gaps, inform infrastructure risk management decisions, identify resilience-building opportunities and strategies, and improve information sharing among stakeholders through a collaborative partnership approach. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) leads the effort to enhance the resilience of the nation’s physical and cyber infrastructure by bringing resources to your fingertips. Only working together can we defend against today’s threats and collaborate to build secure and resilient infrastructure for the future.

February 17, 2022 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM EST Webinar

Facilitated by: SBDC at University of Central Florida

Topic: Government Contracting

In November, the Department of Defense introduced us to “CMMC 2.0”, the latest piece of the DoD’s puzzle to improve cybersecurity practices in the country’s supply chain. As we start the new year, we thought it would be helpful to bring back Fernando Machado to share the latest changes in CMMC 2.0 and demonstrate how contractors can accurately scope their environments for a CMMC level 1 self-assessment. As you may remember, Fernando is a CMMC Provisional Assessor and Candidate CMMC 3rd Party Assessment Organization and recently recognized by POTOS with the “President’s Volunteer Service Award” for his work with the CMMC-AB Standards Industry Working Group. If Federal Contracting is on your radar, you can’t ignore CMMC… you have to embrace it and this event will be a great place to dive in, reset and get going for 2022.

Topic: CMMC Industry Days and Modern Information Security Topics

The Cloud Security and Compliance Series (CS2) is strictly for government contractors and those in higher education research institutions looking to meet cybersecurity regulations, address security threats, and glean best practices for their cloud investments.

Join us in San Diego, CA, at the International Hotel, or virtually for this ongoing information series to cover best practices for CMMC, DFARS 7012/7019/7020/7021, NIST 800-171 compliance, CUI and ITAR data management, Assessment Preparations, and other cloud security topics.
The greatest hurdle for contractors and those conducting DoD research in higher education is transforming their information systems for compliance by moving off of legacy infrastructures. This is the first venture into cloud technologies for many companies, and the security landscape for advanced persistent threats is ever-changing.

NOTE: This event will be a “hybrid” format, meaning there will be both in-person seats, as well as virtual seats
